Image uploads and processing
When you upload an image, we process it to generate the requested background removal or replacement output. We may store the original file, generated output, and related processing metadata such as file type, size, timestamps, request status, watermark mode, moderation status, and retention expiry.
Temporary 30-day retention
We retain original uploads, enhanced outputs, and related processing records for up to 30 days for support, abuse prevention, security review, and re-downloads. After the retention period expires, stored images are deleted or irreversibly purged unless a legal hold or active support/security investigation requires us to keep them longer.
How we use image data
- To provide the image editing service you requested.
- To show account history, allow re-downloads, and help support troubleshoot failed jobs.
- To enforce acceptable-use rules, investigate abuse, and protect the service from spam, fraud, and unsafe uploads.
- To improve reliability and product quality using operational metadata. We do not sell your images.
Security safeguards
We use access controls, signed URLs, and operational safeguards to limit access to uploads and outputs while they are stored. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so you should avoid uploading images you do not have rights to use or images containing unnecessary sensitive information.
Free-user watermark notice
Guest and free-plan outputs include a visible SNAPTO.SALE watermark. Paid plans remove the visible watermark. Processing metadata may still record how an output was generated for support and abuse-prevention purposes.
Deletion and support requests
Images are scheduled for deletion after the retention window. If you need help with a specific upload or deletion question, contact support with the account email and enough detail to identify the request.
